Evolution of a project
In my last entry, I posted a photo from the Winter Marinas series. Well, that project has morphed into what I'm now calling "Off Season". The hibernating marinas, while amazingly fertile ground for new imagery, started to feel like a single page of a much larger story. New England is home to a great many industries and activities that take a large chunk of the calendar off. From marinas and amusement parks to summer camps and country fairs, the tools and toys of the warmer months get mothballed to wait out another winter. By the same token, there are winter activities that shut down during the warmer months. This newest series explores the often overlooked off-season condition. Here's a sample image from Old Orchard Beach in Maine. A new gallery will be on my site in the near future.
